Abseiling down Guildford Cathedral – 5th September 2015

On Saturday 5th September a team of volunteers abseiled 160ft down Guildford Cathedral to raise funds for us, the Leg Ulcer Charity.

We received some great news coverage from Eagle Radio and The Guildford Dragon News

Professor Mark Whiteley was the first to take the plunge, dressed as Tigger, closely followed by the charity’s trustees; Barrie Price and Ian Clapp.

The Mayor of Guildford, Cllr Nikki Nelson-Smith and her family rose to the challenge and joined in the fun.

By lunchtime our 26 brave volunteers had abseiled down the iconic building.
